Listener requested topic on when using OOC is used.. to much. Clearing the lines of communication are great to keep wires from being crossed, but what happens when someone starts to tell more, and more... and even more information that should be learned IC and not spewed out in great detail in a tell. Especially, when you will then have to find out IC later anyway, because now you know the information, but the character doesn't!

Also, why the end of GoT was like badly written RP at the end of the show if you haven't seen it and want to avoid spoilers.

Insecurities are a funny thing, even the most confident of people still has them, which is probably not funny, but that's how the saying goes. They can also get in the way of your RP with silly thoughts like, "It's a dumb idea" and "No one cares what you do". Sure, not every idea will shine but if it never see's the light of day because of some insecurity, it definitely won't. So let's look into them and ways we can tell our own stupid head to STFU.

We'll also hit up some news about loot box ban legislation as well as FF14's "controversy" over the new male only and female only races coming up.

The more things change the more things change.  Or something like that.  RP has shifted and evolved over the years in MMO's with first timers getting older and new blood being younger and the shifting landscape of the internet itself.   Forums and story writing aren't what they once were and are largely on the shrinking year over year.   Jaz takes us through her story and look into this phenomenon and our experience with it.

When does taking inspiration from something turn into just flat out ripping it off? Inspiration can come from many sources for RP but just how many times can you roll your eyes at yet another Drizzt or Sephiroth clone or, how many times have you RP'd with one but not even realized it. Tonight we'll look at that thin line between one and the other.

Episode 84 - My Precious

Brought to us by listener Eirkas. Does an item make the character? Would Thor be Thor with our Mjölnir? The Lich King with out Frostmourne? Bart Simpson with out a slingshot? How can you craft a weapon that means as much to your character and is a part of them as it is with these examples? That along with some great questions from Gramma Gothy and listener calls!

MMO's are an amazing genre of video games, but what has happened to them? Barely 20 years old and the level of innovation seems to have stopped 10 years ago. Why is that? We're going to go through the history of MMO's starting at the beginning in 1995 until we get bored and find out where it all went wrong, and more importantly, when will it get better? One of our longest episodes to date (Really? Nerds!) on where MMO's have been and where they are going and where your RP might be in the future.
